In that intervention, students, university professionals, lawyers, and a former judge of the Constitutional Court were beaten and arrested. There was no reason for the brutal intervention in front of the Faculty of Law. According to witnesses, the police did not act in prescribed, usual formations, but as an angry, violent mob, beating everyone in front of them, especially students.

The constant excessive, illegal use of force against non-violent citizens and journalists is inadmissible and requires the prosecution of all those who exceed their authority.

The project “System of prevention of violence and protection of journalists” is implemented by ANEM with partners Insider TV and the Center for the Development of Local Media, with the support of the European Union and the Balkan Fund for Democracy.
