Redatelji i glumci pozivaju Srbiju da ne izručuje bjeloruskog aktivistu, tvrde da mu prijeti “mučenje i smrtna kazna”

Desetine europskih redatelja, glumaca i drugih umjetnika pozvali su srbijanske vlasti da ne izruče bjeloruskog aktivista andreia Gnyota natrag Bjelorusiji. U otvorenom pismu objavljenom u ponedjeljak, umjetnici upozoravaju da se Gnyot suočava sa "zatvorom, mučenjem, pa čak i smrtnom kaznom" ako ga vrate u Bjelorusiju, prenio je Guardian.

Gnyot, redatelj koji je bio ključna osoba u organiziranju sportaša za suprotstavljanje diktatorskoj vladavini Aleksandra Lukašenka, uhapšen je po dolasku u Srbiju prošle godine nakon što je Bjelorusija preko Interpola izdala nalog za njegovo hapšenje zbog optužbi za utaju poreza. Kaže da su optužbe političke.

Gnyot je proveo sedam mjeseci u zatvoru u Beogradu prije nego što je u junu pušten u kućni pritvor. Srbijanski sud će u utorak saslušati njegovu posljednju žalbu u slučaju, nakon što je nekoliko odluka išlo protiv njega. Ako ova žalba ne uspije, Gnyot bi mogao biti deportiran u bilo kojem trenutku, uz veto državnog ministra pravosuđa kao posljednju priliku da se izbjegne vraćanje.

“Poznat je po snimanju dokumentarnih snimaka tokom protesta u Bjelorusiji 2020. i snimanju apela sportaša za slobodne i poštene izbore. Zbog tih ga aktivnosti progoni bjeloruski autoritarni režim”, stoji u pismu čiji su potpisnici francuski glumac i predsjednica Europske filmske akademije Juliette Binoche; bjeloruska nobelovka Svetlana Alexievich; ruski redatelj Kirill Serebrennikov; i ukrajinski redatelj Oleh Sentsov, koji je ranije bio politički zatvorenik u Rusiji.

“Srbijanske vlasti trebale bi konzultirati međunarodne organizacije za ljudska prava, koje u ovom slučaju pozivaju na hitno oslobađanje Gnyota, ističući da su optužbe politički motivirane”, rekla je nagrađivana poljska redateljica Agnieszka Holland, koja je također potpisala pismo. “Sada je to pitanje života i smrti za ovog redatelja. Bude li izručen, Andrei se suočava s mučenjem, godinama u neljudskim uvjetima ili gore”.

Bjeloruski glumac sa sjedištem u Velikoj Britaniji Mitya Savelau, koji je organizirao pismo, rekao je da nema sumnje da režim zloupotrebljava Interpol tražeći naloge za hapšenje u političkim slučajevima uprkos zabrani agencije da to čini, maskirajući ih kao gospodarski zločin.

Savelau je ukazao na činjenicu da su 2021. godine vlasti u Minsku pokušale izdati nalog za hapšenje političke čelnice Sviatlane Tsikhanowskaya, koja je pobjegla iz zemlje nakon gušenja protesta 2020. koji su uslijedili nakon njezinog poraza od Lukašenka na predsjedničkim izborima koji su mnogi smatrani namještenim .

“Interpol je odbio proći kroz to, ali je razotkrio taktiku koju je od tada opetovano koristio Lukašenko da pronađe bjeloruske demokratske aktiviste”, rekao je Savelau.

“Nakon predsjedničkih izbora 2020. i Lukašenkovog slamanja demonstranata, između 300.000 do 500.000 Bjelorusa moralo je pobjeći iz zemlje na sigurno. I svi smo u opasnosti da se nađemo u situaciji kao što je Andrej”, dodao je.

U junu su brojni bjeloruski sportaši rekli za Guardian da je Gnyot bio aktivan u organiziranju pokreta sportaša disidenata. “Andrei je igrao veliku ulogu. Mnogi sportaši nisu razumjeli kako organizirati ili napraviti videe, a on nam je puno pomogao”, rekla je Aliaksandra Herasimenia, plivačica koja je 2012. u Londonu osvojila dvije srebrne olimpijske medalje, a kasnije je u odsutnosti osuđena na 12 godina zatvora. Živi u egzilu.

Svjestan da bi protiv njega mogao biti pokrenut kazneni postupak, Gnyot je 2021. napustio Bjelorusiju i kasnije se nastanio na Tajlandu. Uhapšen je na beogradskom aerodromu u oktobru kada je stigao u Srbiju na snimanje televizijske reklame.

U poruci poslanoj iz Beograda, Gnyot je apelirao na srbijanskog ministra pravosuđa da blokira njegovo izručenje ako sud presudi protiv njega, ali je rekao da nakon dugotrajne sudske kalvarije “ne osjeća ništa”.

“U 10 mjeseci čekanja da me pošalju u smrt, svi moji osjećaji su izgorjeli. Borit ću se samo za istinu i pravdu, za svoj život i za živote drugih Bjelorusa, jer nas u diktaturi čeka mučenje i smrt”, rekao je.
